Wordsmith
Few people wake up in the morning and expect to meet a poet. And only a few more hope to. Count us in that second group.
Poets are the skilled position players on the writing team, the first violinists of words.
That’s why we were so excited about this interview with Suzanne Rhodenbaugh, a writer and – yes – a poet who lives in south St. Louis.
Would she smile at our syntax? (Yes.) Would she bristle at our literary and music tastes? (Yes, yes) Would she dish on other poets, booksellers, critics, US foreign policy, developers, sports franchises, computers, and fast food? (Yes, yes, etc.)
In this podcast at MayorSlay.com, a City’s poet shares her views and verse with her neighbors.
