City Samples 44
Roger Hamilton, a good-natured carriage driver, and his co-worker, a good-natured Percheron named Buddy, are privy to a lot of great sights and sounds in St. Louis.
They hear the excited gasps of tourists as they see the almost-underwater The Captain Returns statue; they hear many voices asking if there’s any other way to get to the Arch than up the seemingly-8,000 steps; and they hear the upbeat music blaring from the riverboats.
So, when we asked Roger and, vicariously, Buddy to tell us their favorite sound in St. Louis on a nice-but-windy day, they were more than pleased to let us listen. And, in doing so, they demonstrated their impressive teamwork.
Listen.
