Endorsing in the 57th?

I’ve seen several blogs already this weekend questioning which candidate I plan to support to fill the 57th District state legislative seat that will be vacated by the resignation of T.D. El-Amin.

Since no one has yet asked for my support, I can’t really answer the question. But, I can say this: I am, in general, much less interested in the outcome of the contest for a freshman seat in the minority party in the crowded House, than I am in the election of a state senator. The differences in the importance of the two offices are significant.

I hope that the new state rep will support the City’s legislative agenda.
