Hanukkah
Hanukkah, which begins at sunset today, celebrates the faith and customs of our Jewish neighbors. It also is the first of several celebrations our diverse city observes this month.
The common themes of all these holidays are the thanks we offer for the blessings we have received and the chance they present to share those blessings with those less fortunate.
Kim Slay and I look forward to celebrating all the month’s observances – and we wish our Jewish friends, Chag Sameach.
