What I've Written to DESE
The unaccredited St. Louis Public School District, home to many of the City's public schools (the other public schools are charter schools), has made progress. Its governance and finances are more stable; some academic achievement is measurable.
That progress deserves to be recognized.
I sent a letter last week to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education asking them to do that. You can read my complete letter on this same site in the column labeled NEWS.
